A famous singer once said "you've got to roll with it", which is something cricket clubs across the country do on a regular basis.
In recent years, "rolling with it" in Twyford has been an increasingly tense process, as, like a number of the Sunday side, our beloved roller has become more tempermental with age.
Like our Sunday players, it often refuses to start and hasn't been producing the goods on the field for some years.
The problems with it were such that the Committee has taken the decision to replace it with a newer, younger model (be warned Sunday team veterans).
And the new model is finally here.
We're told it does 0-60 in 17 minutes (or slightly quicker if you were to drop it from a helicopter) and is the GTI model.
We think you'll agree it's a magnificent machine, and probably quicker between the wickets than a lot of our players.
Thanks to everyone in the club who helped raise the cash to buy the new roller.
Roll on the season (sorry).
